Using biblical examples and textual support, discuss why knowing the cultural context of the New Testament is important for understanding the message of the New Testament documents. The student will complete 2 discussions in this course. The student will post one thread of 250-
300 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned Module: Week. The student must
then post 2 replies of 75-100 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of the assigned Module:
Week. For each thread, students must support their assertions with at least 1 scholarly citation in
the academic formatting that corresponds with the student’s degree program. Acceptable sources
include the course textbooks, the Bible, and scholarly commentaries or journal articles.
